Fr. Fredrick H. Morse has been appointed pastor of Holy Spirit Parish (St. Mary Church, Wells; St. Martha Church, Kennebunk; All Saints Church, Ogunquit). Fr. Morse is currently parochial vicar at All Saints Parish (St. Charles Borromeo Church, Brunswick; St. John the Baptist Church, Brunswick; St. Mary Church, Bath; Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Boothbay Harbor; St. Ambrose Church, Richmond; St. Patrick Church, Newcastle; St. Katharine Drexel Church, Harpswell). A native of Bangor, he attended St. John Catholic School and John Bapst Catholic High School before earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Maine at Orono. He completed his clerical studies at Pope St. John XXIII National Seminary (previously Pope John XXIII National Seminary) in Weston, Massachusetts. Fr. Morse was ordained to the priesthood by Bishop Joseph J. Gerry, O.S.B., on June 24, 1995, at St. John Church in Bangor. His first assignment was as parochial vicar at St. Louis Church in Fort Kent and Holy Family Church in Daigle. In addition, he served as chaplain at the University of Maine at Fort Kent. In July of 1996, Fr. Morse was appointed parochial vicar at St. John Parish and Holy Cross Parish, both in South Portland. In July of 1998, he was named pastor of Sacred Heart/St. Dominic Parish in Portland, and in July of 2000, in addition to his responsibilities at Sacred Heart/St. Dominic, he was appointed pastor of St. Christopher Parish on Peaks Island. In July of 2003, he was named chaplain at Maine Medical Center in Portland and continued his duties at St. Christopher. In July of 2009, he was appointed parochial vicar at All Saints Parish, where he serves today. Prior to beginning his clerical studies, he worked in sales management for WABI-TV in Bangor, WYOU-FM in Bangor, WGME-TV in Portland, and WROC-TV in Rochester, New York.

Fr. Thomas M. Murphy has been appointed pastor of All Saints Parish (St. Charles Borromeo Church, Brunswick; St. John the Baptist Church, Brunswick; St. Mary Church, Bath; Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Boothbay Harbor; St. Ambrose Church, Richmond; St. Patrick Church, Newcastle; St. Katharine Drexel Church, Harpswell). Fr. Murphy is currently pastor of Holy Spirit Parish (St. Mary Church, Wells; St. Martha Church, Kennebunk; All Saints Church, Ogunquit). A native of Houlton, he grew up in Portland and graduated from Cheverus High School before earning a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Southern Maine. He received a master’s degree in sacred theology from St. Mary’s Seminary and University in Baltimore, Maryland. Fr. Murphy was ordained to the priesthood by Bishop Edward C. O’Leary on June 16, 1979, at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Portland. His first assignment was as associate pastor at St. Mary Parish in Presque Isle and St. Joseph Parish in Mars Hill. In addition, he served as chaplain at the University of Maine at Presque Isle. In July of 1985, Fr. Murphy was appointed director of the Christian Life Center in Upper Frenchville. In 1986, he also served as temporary administrator of St. Agatha Parish in St. Agatha. In July of 1987, he was named pastor of St. Mary Parish in Houlton where he would serve until July of 1991, when he was appointed director of RENEW, a small group faith-sharing effort intended to help bring parishioners from various communities together to provide mutual support. In January of 1996, Fr. Murphy was appointed temporary administrator of St. Edmund Parish in Westbrook. In July of 1997, he was appointed pastor at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish in Scarborough. In July of 1999, Fr. Murphy was named chaplain at Maine Medical Center and parochial vicar of Sacred Heart/St. Dominic Parish, both in Portland. In July of 2003, he was named pastor at St. Patrick Parish in Portland. In June of 2006, Fr. Murphy was appointed administrator of St. Mary Parish in Wells, and in 2008, in addition to his responsibilities at St. Mary, he became administrator of St. Martha Church in Kennebunk and All Saints Church in Ogunquit (newly-formed Holy Spirit Parish), were he serves today. In addition to his parish duties, Fr. Murphy has also served on the College of Consultors, the Presbyteral Council, the diocesan liturgical commission, and as associate director of the diocesan office of vocations.

Murray has been appointed pastor of St. Paul the Apostle Parish (St. John Church, Bangor; St. Mary Church, Bangor; St. Joseph Church, Brewer; St. Teresa Church, Brewer; St. Matthew Church, Hampden; St. Gabriel Church, Winterport). Currently, Fr. Murray serves as pastor of All Saints Parish (St. Charles Borromeo Church, Brunswick; St. John the Baptist Church, Brunswick; St. Mary Church, Bath; Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Boothbay Harbor; St. Ambrose Church, Richmond; St. Patrick Church, Newcastle; St. Katharine Drexel Church, Harpswell). A native of Bangor, he earned a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from the University of Maine at Orono. He completed his clerical studies at Theological College at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., earning a master of divinity degree. Fr. Murray was ordained to the priesthood by Bishop Edward C. O’Leary on June 6, 1981, at St. John Church in Bangor. From 1981 to 1983, he was assigned as a hospital chaplain at Maine Medical Center in Portland. On July 1, 1983, he became a member of a pastoral team in which he continued his ministry at Maine Medical Center, shared in pastoral work at Sacred Heart Parish in Portland, and did campus ministry at the University of Southern Maine in Portland and Gorham. In July of 1987, Fr. Murray was appointed pastor of Our Lady of Wisdom Parish in Orono and diocesan director of campus ministry serving at the Newman Center at the University of Maine at Orono. In 1989, in addition to his duties at Our Lady of Wisdom and the university, he was named temporary administrator at St. Mary of the Assumption Parish in Orono. In July of 1994, Fr. Murray was named pastor at St. Mary Parish in Bangor. After nine years of service in Bangor, he was appointed pastor of Sacred Heart Parish, St. Louis Parish and St. Philip Parish, all in Auburn, on July 1, 2003. In June 2007, in addition to his duties in Auburn, Fr. Murray was named pastor of Our Lady of Ransom Church in Mechanical Falls and St. Catherine of Sienna Church in Norway. In July of 2009, Fr. Murray was named administrator of the newly-formed All Saints Parish (churches comprising the parish listed above) and in May of 2010, he became pastor of the parish, where he still serves today. In addition to his work in parishes, Fr. Murray has also served as the diocesan director of vocations and the diocesan director of seminarians. Prior to beginning his clerical studies in 1977, he served as a member of the Maine House of Representatives for two terms and also taught and coached at John Bapst High School in Bangor for four years.

Dube has been appointed rector of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Portland and pastor of the other Portland Peninsula & Island Parishes (Sacred Heart/St. Dominic Parish, Portland; St. Louis Parish, Portland; St. Peter Parish, Portland; and St. Christopher Parish, Peaks Island). Currently, Fr. Dube serves as pastor of Holy Savior Parish (St. Athanasius and St. John Church, Rumford; Our Lady of the Snows Church, Bethel). A native of Greene, he attended Leavitt Area High School and graduated from the University of Maine at Augusta, earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He completed his clerical studies at Theological College at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. Fr. Dube was ordained to the priesthood by Bishop Richard J. Malone on June 29, 2007, at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Lewiston. His first assignment was as parochial vicar at Good Shepherd Parish in Biddeford and Saco. In November of 2010, Fr. Dube was appointed parochial vicar at the Portland Peninsula & Island Parishes (parishes listed above) and as hospital chaplain at Maine Medical Center and Mercy Hospital, both in Portland. In August of 2013, Fr. Dube was named pastor of Holy Savior Parish in Rumford (churches comprising parish listed above) where he serves today. In addition to his parish duties, Fr. Dube currently serves as a member of the Presbyteral Council and the College of Consultors, chair of the Priest Personnel Board, and as chaplain to the Maine Chiefs of Police Association.

Fr. Nathan D. March has been appointed pastor of Holy Savior Parish (St. Athanasius and St. John Church, Rumford; Our Lady of the Snows Church, Bethel). Fr. March, who grew up in Cumberland, was ordained to the priesthood by Bishop Richard J. Malone on June 29, 2007, at the Basilica of Ss. Peter & Paul in Lewiston. Fr. March served as a parochial vicar at churches comprising Prince of Peace Parish in Lewiston through July of 2012, when he was named the director of vocations for the Diocese of Portland and chaplain at Saint Dominic Academy in Auburn and Lewiston. In October of 2014, he was appointed to assist at St. Joseph Parish in Bridgton and Fryeburg; Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish in Norway, Mechanic Falls, and Oxford; and to serve as a hospital chaplain at Maine Medical Center and Mercy Hospital, both in Portland. Since June of 2015, he has served as parochial vicar at St. Anne Parish, Gorham; St. Anthony of Padua Parish, Westbrook; and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, Windham, while continuing to assist at the hospitals in Portland.

Fr. Michael J. Seavey has been appointed parochial vicar of St. Anne Parish, Gorham; St. Anthony of Padua Parish, Westbrook; and Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Windham. Currently, Fr. Seavey is administrator of Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Portland and pastor of the other Portland Peninsula & Island Parishes (Sacred Heart/St. Dominic Parish, Portland; St. Louis Parish, Portland; St. Peter Parish, Portland; St. Christopher Parish, Peaks Island). Fr. Seavey graduated from Portland High School in 1972 and received his bachelor’s degree in political science at what is now the University of Southern Maine. He went on to earn a master’s degree in public policy from the University of Minnesota. He completed his clerical studies at Pope St. John XXIII National Seminary (previously Pope John XXIII National Seminary) in Weston, Massachusetts, earning a master of divinity degree. Fr. Seavey was ordained to the priesthood by Bishop
Amedee W. Proulx on May 31, 1986, at Sacred Heart Church in Portland. His first assignment was as parochial vicar at Holy Cross Parish in South Portland. In July of 1989, he was named parochial vicar at St. Mary Parish in Bangor. In July of 1992, Fr. Seavey was appointed pastor of St. Joseph Parish in Wallagrass and Holy Family Parish in Daigle. In July of 1995, he was appointed co-pastor of St. Joseph Parish in Biddeford. In July of 1998, Fr. Seavey was named pastor of St. Andrew Parish in Augusta where he would serve until July of 2003, when he was appointed pastor of St. Joseph Parish in Lewiston. From 2006 to 2008, in addition to his responsibilities at St. Joseph, Fr. Seavey served as administrator for St. Patrick Parish, also in Lewiston. In January of 2009, Fr. Seavey was named parochial vicar of the Portland Peninsula & Island Parishes (parishes listed above). In May of 2014, he was appointed administrator of Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Parish and pastor of the other Portland Peninsula & Island Parishes, where he serves today.

Fr. Claude R. Gendreau has been assigned to full-time ministry in the diocesan tribunal. Since May of 2014, Fr. Gendreau has served three-quarters of his time as a notary in the tribunal handling annulment cases and a quarter of his time as rector of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Portland. The rector is responsible for overseeing the Masses and other events that relate to the Bishop’s presence at the Cathedral. Fr. Gendreau graduated from Madawaska High School in 1973. He received a bachelor’s degree in religious studies from St. Mary’s Seminary & University in Baltimore. Fr. Gendreau was ordained to the priesthood by Bishop Joseph J. Gerry, O.S.B., on May 29, 1993, at St. David Church in Madawaska. Since his ordination, Fr. Gendreau has served in a variety of roles at a number of Maine parishes, including service in Fort Kent, Waterville, St. Francis, Allagash, St. John, St. Agatha, Sinclair, Frenchville, Lewiston, and Portland, where he serves today.
