Leaving a legacy allows a donor to rest assured that support will continue into the next generation and beyond.
By working with the Catholic Foundation, you can be sure that your gift will be used precisely in the manner you have designated.
The Parish can better steward Parish resources because endowment distributions allow the Parish to anticipate approximate on-going funding which in turn allows for better financial planning. For example, planning for needed major repairs can happen if there is a secured funding stream year over year due to a legacy gift.
A gift given in memory of a loved one keeps the memory alive each time the fund is mentioned in announcements or publications, allowing beneficiaries of the fund to get to know that person through the legacy.

The Catholic
The Board of Trustees of the Foundation manages the investments, projects, and funds and ensures that they are conservatively, yet productively, invested and that the donors' charitable wishes and intentions are maintained and carried out in perpetuity.
Foundation of Maine provides opportunities for people like you to charitably invest for the long term. The Foundation was established in 2003 as a separate nonprofit organization, led primarily by lay Catholics. Through the Foundation, you can support and create charitable funds that will enhance the work of the Catholic Church, as well as its ministries and people, and fulfill needs in ways that otherwise would not be possible.
All funds at the Foundation are invested in accordance with the social teachings of the Catholic Church, according to the Socially Responsible Investment Guidelines established by the US Conference of Catholic Bishops.
Gifts may be made through many means including cash, stocks, dividends, coins, stamps, real estate, real property, bequests, charitable gift annuities, and trusts.
